Southern Utah Bull Elk Hunt - Zion

I just got my Elk permit early/mid Oct and I'm thinking of hunting Navajo Lake area. I'm not from the area so my knowledge of the area is very limited. I've heard the Zion hunt is hard and I've heard some positives about this area. Just looking for advice.

How far north is the boundaries for that unit.

Route 14 is the boundary. North of that limited panguitch unit.

That unit could be very interesting this year after the huge fire, might push a few more critters that way.

we will see I think the fire was early enough and with recent rain it may start greening up in a few areas that burned.

I think panguitch is going to produce good animals and higher than normal success rate for those out there.

maybe, but that depends on if they ever open it back up?? I called the forest service, at this time there isn't an estimated date for opening.

I did hear that a lot of the brunt area will NOT be open by archery season due to unstable trees and such,
That would really Suck for those who drew a tag for there finally,
