Update on the poaching case, they apprehended the poacher and are filing for felony charges. I hope that comes with a lifetime loss of hunting privileges!

I dont think a life time ban on hunting works for a poacher, you dont need a tag or a license,and your not going to jail and the fine is cheaper than a guide. there is going to be new poachers every day,the guy who hit the payson deer probably was an antler kook and that was the best way to get them before anyone else and not poach it with everyone watching.

Wildfin I agree that a poacher doesn't care if they have a tag of license, but I think that if the legal rout of hunting is also stripped, it may give reason to second guess the decision to poach. I'm also encouraged that they are pursuing felony charges, this with a lifetime ban of hunting privilege may cause future poachers to think again.

Wildfin, dont be a dumb A$$, why say that about the guy that was HIT by the Payson buck, the deer ran into him, and he has no chance at those antlers as the DWR confiscates all vehicle related kills.

The guy ended up in the hospital due to that accident, and was hurt pretty bad from my understanding, no need to attack him.

As far as the Vernal buck, I hope they throw the book at him, and the bookcase.

I would like to see life changing events such as a few years Jail time, felony charges, lifetime ban on Hunting & Fishing, plus huge fines!!! With felony's they can't own guns anyway or they get to go back to the grey bar motel!! Plus they will never have a descend paying job with back ground checks these days who would hire them at a well paying company? Maybe these SOB would think twice about poaching after spending some time as somebody's B#### at the Big House !!!
