"Dedicated Hunter Question"

My question: I am in my second year of the program. I filled my tags last year and this year so technically I am done and can't hunt next year. Suppose I was to draw a limited entry deer tag next year, first, would I even be eligible to apply for a limited entry deer tag? and second, if I am able to apply, would I be able to use the tag since I have killed my two deer in my 3 year cycle? I couldn't find any helpful info on the DWR website other than this....

Can I apply for limited-entry buck deer permits while I am a Dedicated Hunter?
Answer: Yes, but you may only have one buck deer permit each year. If you draw a limited-entry buck deer permit in the big game drawing, your Dedicated Hunter permit won't be printed. If you harvest during your limited-entry hunt, it will not count toward your harvest limit for the Dedicated Hunter program.

Anyone been in the same boat as me? and what were your results?

This question has come up before. The answer is yes you can draw and use a LE deer tag next year. If you still had a Ded hunter tag left for next year, it would not be printed because you can only have one tag in a season, and the LE tag would trump the DH tag. If you had drawn a LE tag this year, then you would still have a DH tag next year. This is the only way it is possible to kill three deer in three years while on the program. Hope this helps.

+1 Yes you can put in and hunt. Limit tags do not go towards dedicated deer kills
