They wanting to create a general early rifle hunt that starts the wed after general elk starts, and end it on sun. Also add all deer units to the le muzz hunts in November, to help with point creep. Velvet cactus hunt on the paunsaugunt in November also.. I like the cactus buck hunt. I like the le muzz hunt on the general units. Im not sure about 2 general rifle hunts. In all reality the muzz hunts are a little more successful now, so the bucks could possibly be hunted 4 times in a little over a month with rifles.. If they pass all these in November's board meeting, the opportunity to kill a lot more bucks could happen in 2018. Not to sure if the early rifle hunt should be passed IMO... Anybody have any thoughts on this.

All of the ideas/proposals mentioned will be taken out to the RACs in November (Nov. 7?16) and be open for public discussion/input. The RACs will share that feedback with the Wildlife Board when it formally considers the proposals at the Nov. 30 board meeting.
In yesterday's meeting, we were just reporting back to the board on some requests that board members made earlier in the year (the action log). We indicated yesterday that the proposals would go out to the public for feedback and discussion before any final decisions are made.
