Pine valley elk

I have never seen a live elk on the pine valley unit. I have seen tracks a few times and found an area that some late cow hunters must be doing okay (found cow caresses).
This was all near the NV line. Unless you have a late cow tag, I would say odds of finding an elk are slim and still would be hard after that. Unit is managed to take out the elk population.
