Non Res limited entry hunts

got a question for you all this is my first time putting in for elk and deer at the same time in UT. Can I as a non resident put in for limited entry deer and limited entry elk in the same year? All input is appreciated thanks

Yes you can, but cant draw both. If you draw deer you are out of the elk draw and are allotted a point for the year.

Yep, we have the illusion we are applying for multiple species, but in reality we can only draw one tag. But you might as well apply for both since you can.

I keep hoping they will let us apply for multiple points, but only one tag. That would still give them their money, but increase our odds of drawing that a tag tremendously.

As a non resident you can apply for all species but can only draw one tag.
You can apply for both LE deer and General season deer but once again only one tag.

I think you increase your odds by applying for all but so far my take has not panned out as I haven't drawn an tag in years.

I think this is my year.

Ut just wants all those app fees per species, NR getting screwed.

But they could collect thee same fees by allowing us to apply for all species for points only. They could even extend that to residents and make even more money.

There is a reason that residents don't want to apply for multiple tags! when they switched to the new system I was about 2-3 years from pulling an elk tag I wanted. Now I sit with no hope in sight of getting a bonus tag and Dismal odds of drawing from the pool. So if you want to just draw "something" in Utah your overall odds may be very slightly better but if like me you just want to draw an elk tag or a deer tag someday you are SOL

The deer draw is first too so if u put in for deer limited entry and draw u won't draw elk or have a chance either that yr for elk

Yep, which is why I put in for the Henry's for deer. Only deer tag I would give up a chance at an elk for

When and if I ever pull an elk tag, I will revisit other places to deer hunt
