So, I was looking over the harvest data for 2017 and saw something interesting. Maybe someone can answer this for me.
As I looked at the info, and looking at what OIL tag would be best to start applying for, with my 12 yr old son, I looked into the sheep and found some interesting numbers compared to all OIL and even LE permits.
Desert sheep had 6 permits = 12% of the tags available.
Rocky sheep 6 permits = 19% of the tags.
Goats 1 permit = .01 of the tags
Buffalo 0 permits = 0
Moose 0 permits = 0
Elk 2 permits = .001 of the tags
Deer 6 permits = .001 pf the tags
Why so many of the sheep and little to none of the others? I just find that interesting.
