Utah early rifle hunts

Has there been any talk of how many tags may be allocated to the General deer early rifle hunts? It will be interesting to see what the impact of these hunts will be.

Just another hunt to thin out the heard might as well make hunting deer year round it pretty much is anyway ?

Well it should impact how many less people will be hunting the winter range on the second rifle hunt. Also, just another way to thin out the hunters during that second rifle season. Bring it on.

I heard 20 to 30% of the rifle tags will go to the early hunt if it is offered in a unit. Probably harder to get the early tag than the later one is my guess.
