Turkey on the sons hit list

Any ideas I have a few spots I've checked out on my
Own not very impressed with them any direction for sons first turkey in central would be much appreciated either way we'll have fun and make memories I'd just like to give him a good chance thanks in advance

If you are able to scout a weekend (even a single day) before the youth hunt (I'm assuming this is youth and not LE), and can spend some time hiking/driving a few creek bottoms w/ cottonwoods and do a locate call every 0.5-1 mile(coyote yelp, crow, gobble, and or hen call), I would imagine that you'll turn up some turkeys. In my experience just about every creek bottom w/ perennial water in the central has the potential to hold turkeys.
