Looking to put some meat in the freezer.any suggestions for what units to apply?
Non resident with 1 cow elk BP
 
I don't know of a bad unit for cow elk (except the *private property units).
I actually love the hunt since it's low pressure and relatively high success and a guy gets to actually hunt elk pretty dang often!

Where are you coming from and that might help pick a unit?

How do the CWMU hunts work? Do you need permission before you apply?
Noticed the tags are little cheaper?
Kinda looking at Book cliffs antlerless since I will be there for the archery deer hunt , and will sorta know the country already.
 
I believe all CWMU tags in the draw are for residents only. However, some CWMUs offer tags to be purchased.
