Any tips for hunting central Nebo archery hunt? First time in this area.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I would try finding a good trail and hiking up on the mountain as high as you can, glass until you find a buck and put the sneak on him.

Draw results have been out for 3 months and you are just now worrying about this? Haha a little late in the game to be jumping on the local forums looking for honey holes. Good luck with that

Not looking for honey holes. I've been looking just a new area for me. Seeing if any one had tips. I was thinking of Sanpitch but just wanted to get a feel if it was good or not. I've been through the nebo loop seen a few but nothing to exciting. I just learned of the forum from a buddy of mine he said it was good place to get a little help but I guess not.

Don't mind deerkiller, he tries to come across as a hard azz. He's actually not too bad. Good luck, I know nothing about the nebo unit. Let us know how the hunt goes.

When I was 16 I decided I wanted to hunt waterfowl. I spent the entire duck season walking from layton to ogden to try and figure it out.

If I saw a dude mile or so out, of have zero problems exchanging info.

Today I exchange info with dudes from other camps I recognize as having been there for numerous seasons.

The point is, your exploring new country, and thats awesome. But go explore. Bring something to talk about and most dudes here will do the same. 3 posts, 4 days out and you thought dudes will talk, you should know better.

Yup, you may have to eat a tag to learn, but then in FEBUARY or March, maybe then exchange with dudes, they will know you spent the time by what u exchange with them.

Not always a fan of deerkiller, but he's right this time

Try Bald Mountain. Access it from the Mona Pole road out by the old Privateer mine. Always a buck or two up in that basin that faces east. And the ridgeline called Gentle Ben on the east side of Holman canyon has bucks. Good luck.

Did you ever stop and think that maybe this is a kid just getting started into hunting and learning as he/she goes. Maybe everyone aren't total DB's like you seem to be? You get that stick out of your ass you'll feel better.

Well no buck but had a great time. Lots of fawns and does and spikes. Missed on a couple two points.
Any info you could give me on where you saw the most deer/sign, not the actual spot but just a general area? I plan on drawing this unit this year and I’ve never hunted Utah before so anything helps. Did you run into many hunters? Was water scarce? I live in Washington so a scouting trip for me isn’t really ideal, just trying to get the best feel for it before getting boots on the ground. Thank you in advance!
