Butcher Near Beaver?

I'm hoping to connect with a buck and a cow with my muzzloader at the end of this month and would like a recommendation for a processor near Beaver.

Appreciate hearing about places to use and also ones to avoid.

Ashton meats north of Filmore . They do a pretty good job. Professional butcher so they should.

They did a Bison all of the above. Its a little farm/Butcher shop on a dirt road north of town.

There is Custom Meats in Cedar city. But they don't always take game meat. Is there some kind of regulation that says you can't take game meat. When you are cutting up domestic ? Because thats what they always say.
Lacortis Meats in Fredonia Arizona does awesome work. But they maybe a little far for you ? But worth the drive.

There is one right behind the cheese factory in Beaver that dose out standing work. Not sure if he still dose wild game but it's worth checking out

I've had Ashtons do a Bison, and a cow elk. Both times the meat had a funny taste, like cleanser or bleach. I won't go there again, just for the fact that it's in my head now. Even if it's perfectly fine, I'm going to think it is off.

My meat is off limits from now on to any professional meat processors.

I tried Custom Meats in Cedar City, (they said they where full), tried D-9 Meats (they said they where full) called another one no answer so I ended up taking my bull to Final Cut in St.George. They did a excellent job and took care of it right away for me.

I live in Vegas and hunt Utah muzzleloader every year (lucky enough to be a lifetime hunting license holder).

Mulls Meats is the only game processor in Vegas. However, they do an awful job. I would not recommend using them. The meat comes back dark-colored and tasting funky. I have gone to processing my own meat at home (I have a very understanding wife).
