Hello!
I'm currently in the Salt Lake City area (also volunteer as a firefighter in Cedar Fort, so I travel back and forth a lot), I'm looking to get involved with some hunters. I'm currently a college student at the University of Utah and have recently been trying to get into and learn the art of hunting.
Hunting is a seemingly familial heritage that generally gets passed down from father to son. Unfortunately, my parents are not the "outdoorsy" types and much of my experiences outside have been after I left the house. I'm pretty familiar with the Oakley, Kamas, Heber, and Park City areas because that's where I grew up.
I'm really looking to learn anything I can about hunting and possibly find some people to shoot at the range with. Maybe do some OTC hunts in the following seasons. I feel like you can only learn so much from videos and talking to people on the internet and would love to learn the old-fashioned way.
