6 points as a NR have been putting in for south cache rifle both late and early because of friends in the area and knowing the area somewhat just curious what my other options might be

Archery tags are much easier to draw and the Muzzy season (also easier draw than early rifle) is often more in the rut than the rifle season. Just some things to consider.

DWR has 2018 draw odds on their website. A little research there goes a long way.

With 6 pts. You?d be lucky to pull a nebo tag ,oquihrr stansbury , or wasatch tag. Good luck but you can't draw it you don't apply. Utah?s draw odds are tough best of luck you're gonna need it.

Thanks for the advice I'll check into the muzzleloader some more! Im hesitant to hunt archery because of the early season dates and I'm usually busy with work but I'll check into that as well, killed my Nevada bull with a bow so I know the challenges there. Utah was kind to me last year with an unexpected San Juan bear tag so maybe I'll get lucky with a elk tag too
