2019 Utah Big Game Application Guidebook

LAST EDITED ON Dec-31-18 AT 08:32AM (MST)[p]Yes, thanks BigJohnT. I missed that one. It was/is at the end of a thread I didn't look at. But what surprises me is that nobody seems to care about it at this point. I guess we're all so busy fighting over the past hunting schedules and scenarios that the new stuff will have to wait. But, then again, this is MONSTER MULEYS, isn't it! Carry on!

Well elk.... I cashed in 24 years as you know for 2018.... hahaha. They ought to call it once in a lifetime. Let me know what you do. If you do premium books I can tell ya where not to go! Well I shouldn't... that?d leave ya no where to go! Good luck man. If ya do San Juan I'd love to come hunt with ya! Kinda redemption for my screw up! I've got lots of new glass and a huntin rig, and lots of backpacks. You say the word and I'm in!

I've got 16 or 17 pts for mt goat. Think I'll do the west Uintah.

As far as my LE start over.... I guess deer. Maybe I'll get lucky!!! Maybe everyone will pull out of books, and the herd will recover the year I draw!

Sorry I was talking to the one and only Elikass. But to all the other elk handles, best of luck to you all!

Tag numbers will be in the April RAC packet for the meetings.
Finalized at the board meeting the beginning of May.

Gen elk are over the counter tags.
Just buy them.
No application required.
And you can hunt several different units.
But the are tough ones.

Thanks for confirmation. Do these tags fall under the Any Elk category for which units they are valid for?

I've been through the Regs and might be buried or I just can't interpret it!

Muzzleloader elk tags/hunts can be either any bull OR spike tags/hunts, depending on what you choose to buy. It's up to you, but once you've made that choice you can only hunt the units that are open for that choice, during the muzzy season. (The spike units are Limited Entry units, while the any bull units are general elk units.) Of course you could always use your muzzy during the any weapon season, but you'll be competing with rifle hunters if you do.

The same scenario goes for the any weapon tags and the multi season tags. The only difference lies with the archery tags which can be used on both any bull and spike units.

I hope that answers your concern.
