Mt dutton late elk hunt

I have 19 points and I'm going to be applying for this hunt. I should draw it. Just would like to see some bulls from people who shot one on this unit. Also, if anyone has any information on where or how to hunt this unit you can PM me.

I had that tag in 2014, it was incredible! Passed on 320-330 Bulls every day. We found the big groups of Bulls were still up high at that time. Be prepared for some rough, physically challenging country. Definitely line up lots of extra help for the packout, or better yet, someone with horses or mules. Practice your shooting, a lot. Those canyons are big, 500 yards is a close shot sometimes up there. Start scouting about November 1, the Bulls should be starting to show up in their winter spots by then.

If you're staying in an RV, take tons of extra propane, it gets cold as hell at night!
