10 points for LE Pronghorn... need suggestions

I Never hunter pronghorn in my life. When I was little pronghorn was the first animal I wanted to hunt. I'm a die hard deer hunter and just getting back into bow hunting. Been building points for pronghorn for 10 years now and would like to get one with my bow. I'm considering a ?any legal weapon? hunt so I could have the opportunity with a bow or rifle. If the situation presented it self to chase a 80? pronghorn, I would most likely just go after it with a rifle.

Any ideas on a direction? Never used a outfitter, totally able to do this on my own if I need to.

Would an outfitter be worth the money to maximize my 10 points to chase a great buck? Or am I over thinking this?

You're over thinking it. They aren't hard to kill with a rifle. Archery might be a challenge.

Ok, I'm thinking of putting in for
UTAH CACHE/MORGAN-SOUTH RICH/OGDEN
Is finding good antelope bucks realistic in this unit?

I don't know anything about that unit. Utah antelope don't get much pressure so they're fairly tame for the most part.

I've had 4 utah le tags and honestly the antelope was fun because it was a very low stress hunt. I didn't have any numbers in mind as far as score goes. It was a fun day with my cousin, uncle, dad and grandpa. Yes I killed on the first day. Make it what you want it to be but have fun.

Beaver unit or Southwest desert unit would be better I killed a buck in the Beaver unit that would have been 80 if he didn't break a horn. Send me a pm we can talk more

I personally don't think you need an outfitter. Antelope aren't the most difficult animal to hunt. I've hunted antelope a couple of times and it was an absolute blast! My 76 year old dad drew an antelope tag last year with 4 points and even though we didn't end up killing anything big, we had an amazingly great time! In a perfect world I'd be able to hunt antelope every year! Do some research on some units, apply, and just go have fun! I think you could easily find some respectable bucks to hunt.

Pcjr21, are you a Utah resident? If you are, I can help with some advice on a great unit to hunt pronghorn with a bow, but I would advise an Archery only tag (not available to Non Res). If you are interested I will PM you with more info.

Thanks for the gracious gesture but I am a nonresident
I forgot to include that

Overthinking it forsure! Utah has really good antelope hunting and with that many points I'd head to west desert. Glass and glass. Do Any Weapon hunt forsure with as many points as you have. First weekend is crowded but after that there's plenty of room if you want to try to hunt with your bow. Don?t be afraid to knock on doors because land owners treat antelope different then deer and will grant you access to private alfalfa pivots a lot of he time. Or head to Wy and hunt archery if that's what you want t do.

I wouldn't hesitate to put in for a CWMU especially Deseret. Tons to good goats on there, had a buddy draw that hunt and shot a 77" first day without using their guide service.

Thanks for the response I forgot to add that I am a nonresident. I don't believe non-residents are eligible for the CWMU hunts
