We have hunted it five different times between family and friends. Depends on the year. If it's warm and there is no snow it is horrible. When it's cold and snowy it can be good. When it is good we are seeing 20 + 4 points a day. When it is bad we are seeing one or two four points the whole hunt. Even when it's good finding something 170 Plus is a challenge.

Could be a great tag this year.

You didn't say how many points you have.4 years ago it took 12 points now with the points creep it takes 15 or 16 points. It's a crapshoot it is so weather related.

I had the late muzzleloader tag a few years ago. I really enjoyed the hunt. Of the 4 tag holders that year, and you will see and know each other. One went home empty, the other 3 of us shot 150-160 type 4 points, mine was like 157. We saw 3 bucks that would be close to 170. I heard one or 2 180 type bucks were shot on rifle.

So, was it fun, Yes. would I like the tag again - Yes. If my goal was 180, probably not the right hunt.
