i AM INTRESTED IN A kANSAS WHITETAIL HUNT. WHAT WOULD IT COST OUTSIDE FIGURE FOR DIY HUNT? Obviously that state is mostly private? Looking at the western part of the stae north east or north central would work as well.
Any info would be appreciated

What I have heard is ,there will be no more land owner transfer permits, you have to apply for your tag.Along with this I heard the licenses are going up .I am assuming between your application fee ,your tag if your lucky and your license You will be up close to $500. Being from Michigan ,there is not no way I would give that for a whitetail license.
There is alot of public land hunting in Kansas.

I've been to KS severral times hunting. Both deer and pheasant. The guy I hunt with is in north central KS. I'd be happy to put you in touch with him. I think he charges about $3500 for a deer hunt. I've done a couple different WT hunts, and this is BY far the best WT hunting I've ever seen. I've yet to kill a buck, but I've missed my fair share. The largest buck I saw during a hunt was over 180"...I missed a 160" & 140" the last time I was there. Awesome hunt. PM me for more info!

Where at in MI are you from? I was born in Jackson. I'm currently in CA...but can't wait to go back to MI and chase those big Jackson bucks.

My wives family is from the Jackson area - "Coles" and "Taylors".
The last time I was out there was in the summer of 2006. Never been there to hunt though, too busy here during that time of year. Here there are some great buck in the area.

$750 trespass fee. Stay as long as we like. Hang our own stands. Stay in cheap hotel 5 miles away. 157" gross and 134" gross with a bow for me the past three years.

If you see this late post I would like to talk to you. I hunt KS almost every year.

I'd like to find a place as well. I'm looking for some land and an unguided hunt. All I want to know is that big deer are in the area and this land could hold them. Anyone point me in that direction? Cost isn't too much of an issue.
