Kansas help!

Hey guys, I have not spent to much time in the whitetail portion of this website, but I'm looking at burning my points on a whitetail hunt in kansas next year and I'm looking for any info reguarding quality units as well as reputable guides/outfitters or a tresspass fee hunt. I will be hunting with a rifle. Thanks in advance.

almost any unit in the state can and will grow a monster buck but these three units are very consistent.

You might give Curt Shahan a call. He has a outfitting business that is very reasonably priced that is called CK outfitters. His hunts are in unit 14. His number is 573-474-2226. He has tons of trail cam pics of bucks in the 150-160 class and some recent video footage of one in the 180 class. Here is a pic of the one he killed last year when he and I were hunting after all of his hunters had left. If you do call tell him Terry said to give you the good guy discount.

What if a guy wants to burn his points and go self guided archery, have any other ideas then ? Shoot me a pm if ya want too ? Thanks

Elk - there are some Walk-in areas but it's just like anywhere else in the country. The best areas are private or locked up by outfitters and the walk-in areas get pounded. I do know that landowners will sometimes let you on their property for a trespass fee. Call the fish and game and ask them for a map of their public and walk-in areas.
