how long will they keep hitting the mineral blocks,or do they do that all year round?

They generally hit the blocks off and on during daylight for the next month or so. After that, I rarely see them here, and if I do, it's at 3:00 A.M. Once they lose the velvet, they tend to scatter.

I have a spot about 300 yards up the hill though on a ridge top, that they seem to travel and scrape heavily after that.
