I'm coming to minnesota to hunt whitetails and i have never hunted them i hunt elk and mule deer mainly. is there anything special r anything i need to keep in mind? what tactics to use ect.

I live in WI. The terrain is pretty similar over there as it is here. Get the warmest clothes you can find, the most comfortable stand you can afford and plan on all day sits in really cold weather. Big woods deer seem to move at all times of the day. Staying out there and comfortable is the biggest challenge.

ThunderImpulse4,
I live in MN and hunt whitetails alot, bow, rifle and ml. Send me a pm with when and where you'll be and I'll give you as much info as I can.

I hunt the Iron range and I would agree to dress as warmly as possible but in as many layers as possible. I have been hunting in november in 60 degrees

Are you coming for the archery season that opens on the 19th or are you hunting one of the gun seasons? Where are you going to be hunting? A little more information and we might be able to help you more.

Well we are having cooler then normal weather. We have had two snow falls already. I was out this morning and it was raining the temp is below average today also, 34 this morning. Don't know the area. Could give you a weather update, but I will not be home till the sunday before you come. Then again you can just find it on the internet also. Either respond on here or pm it you have any other questions that I might be able to help with.
