Returned sunday night from so. dakota. My son and I spent a week hunting whitetail near ? Tough hunt, wind blew first three days with snow sleet and rain. Then became hot very quickly. Just starting to see a little rut activity when it was time to go home. Great people in the area we hunted, very helpful and friendly. Would love to go back during the peak of the rut.

I've heard there are a ton of turkeys in South Dakota, ecspecially on the indian reservation. You see any longbeards?

I was back for the pheasant hunt and the rut was just kicking in we saw a few really big WT the biggest was a 8x8 and he was huge running with 4 does, saw some really a big 4 pts(wider then his ears) that was running does early in the morning.
We would go look for WT all morning then go and hunt pheasants after 10.The rut is really kicking in right now.

My daughter lives there and she wants me to come and hunt. Is it hard to get a tag there for a NR?

Quest, I'm just kiddin, archery tags are over the counter. Rifle are draw only but most areas are great odds to draw.

Dikndirt you had me. I think she has a friend that has 100 acres in unit 48? So its hard to get a tag for a NR. Ive been told there are some big bucks around that area. Do you know anything around or about this area?

I don't think I got the PM. Send me another one.
