Mid America Hunting Association?

I posted this inquiry under the General Hunting area as well, I'm sorry if it comes off as redundant.

I've finally accumulated a few points for Kansas (5) and Iowa (2) and starting to research deer hunt options. Have any of you folks had any experience with the Mid America Hunting Association? They advertise private land access in Kansas, Missouri, and Iowa via an association membership of $1,500 per year.

I'm not much of an archer so a rifle, shotgun or muzzleloader are more my thing. Not hung up on DYI, semi-guide, or guided, I've done them all and each has it's benefits.

Not looking for a guaranteed deal however, I've learned your can't take home a mature animal if your hunting where they don't exist. Unfortunately I have a trust factor issue when it comes to booking a hunt without reliable references, been down that bumpy road. Hence my inquiry.

Just trying to turn over a few rocks so any and all suggestions and/or recommendations would be appreciated.

cant help with the mid america thing but can offer a very good and honest outfitters name...a kind of rarity these days! midwestwhitetailoutfitters.net great guy and does what he says! good luck!and its south east iowa hunting!

Is there any more information you can tell me about the midwestwhitetail operation.

I spoke with Mr. Clark last evening, he was very polite, personable, and confident in his business offerings however I've learned through sad experience that telephone conversations alone are not a reliable decision making tool, important but not enough to base a decision on.

Have you hunted with them recently?

It seems as though midwest is not selling their lodging, meals and ambiance but are focused on whitetail hunting. I like that. I don't have any problem renting a motel room or arranging my own meals, as long as the deer are as advertised.
