Illinois 1st lottery for firearm & muzzleloader deer took place last night. Results are posted on their website. I only got my 2nd choice muzzleloader. Good Luck.

Pleasant error! Checked my mailbox a while back and was surprised to find a full season firearm permit for my 1st choice, the best public land tag in Illinois! Then rechecked ILDNR website to see the firearm draw took place 2 days after muzzleloader. So I am good to go for this year.

Just curios...what is the best public land tag in IL? I better draw my county or I will start bitching like you.

Ya but it doesn't count for a western tag draw. Also, I am not big on Illinois gun hunting anyway. Peak rut is during archery season and I may even have both my buck tags filled by the time this hunt occurs. I'm taking off like 4 weeks to bowhunt and have great spots for public.

Not sayin where tag is. There's enough publicity already. It's only my opinion anyway.

Hope you drew yours. I don't think they sell out many of those anyway.

I drew my tag. Pretty sure I am the only resident of CO that drives 900 miles east to hunt whitetails every year.
