Nice buck - Thanks for posting. What part of the state are you hunting ? I hunted the North Central to North Eastern part of the state 2 years ago and killed a great 170's buck. Cant wait to return myself - need more time / less work !!!

I hear ya! We hunt the northeastern part of the state. This buck was taken with a muzzleloader. This year I have an archery tag. It will be my first time in Kansas with the stick and string. I'm hoping for the best.

Best of luck to you in 2010 - I hope to return in 2011 myself. Bought a preference point this year just in case. My uncle and cousins live out there and my uncle is convinced that the deer numbers are not what they use to be - I told him he just needs to find us better ground to hunt on.
Keep us posted on your success - 2010 is looking like some big ones are going to hit the ground.

It's been a handful of years since I hunted Kansas.
