December Nebraska Whitetail for??

Me and my wife are hoping to get out to Nebraska with smoke poles this December and are probably going to be winging it as I have never hunted whitetail and am going to be hunting based solely on research. I would love to trade out some details, ideas, access etc. as I hunt the tri-state region of Utah, Wyoming, Idaho both Mule Deer and Elk and would love to trade someone out.
