Here is a picture of the 8 point whitetail that my 13 year old daughter took in the Texas panhandle on Saturday. She shot him at about 20 yards with her crossbow. This is her second buck in three years, and by far her biggest. She will have to work pretty hard to beat this one. The crossbow season in Texas has changed her outlook on hunting deer. She never liked the boom and kick of a rifle, but she LOVES shooting her crossbow. If you have a young one that is just starting out, I would highly recommend getting them started with a crossbow.
