LAST EDITED ON Mar-16-12 AT 00:59AM (MST)[p]My best friend, who has been a big contributor here over the years lost his battle with cancer today at 53, after 2.5 years. He was a defender of wild lands and wild life. He was able to donate a conservation easement 8 weeks ago, impeding his title and NEVER allowing development of his hunting land, where his ashes will be spread Sunday. Strong bonds and memories are made over a gut pile. TK, I miss your emails, banter, and excitement for the hunt already. i went to forward a wolf hunt update today and his email was staring at me. Never take a day afield for granted. Every day is a gift. Remember that when we passionately defend our positions.
"I work to hunt" T.K. My dear friend, will be missed. Whitetails in Wisconsin are better off because of good hunters like You. I only hope all of You can experience such a friend. So the next time You want to lay into a fellow MM er, just remember, we are all on the same side and your days afield are numbered.Enjoy and cherish your hunting buddies, please, someday the banter will not be possible.

I'm really sorry to here about your friend. It's tough when we lose special people. I lost my father in September to cancer and lost my 24 yr old Son to heart failure Jan 26th. I feel your pain and your right. Take no one for granted and cherish all your time with them. They may not be there tommorrow. Life is TOO SHORT!

He sounds like a man everyone should know at least once in their lifetime. RIP we will carry on from here.

Sounds like a good man who left his mark on this world we all live on. My guess is his spirit and values will carry on a long time coming. My condolences...
