Many of you already know that IOWA is a draw state when it comes to hunting it's storied whitetails. IOWA does a tremendous job protecting it's wildlife to outside hunting pressure to ensure the corn and soybean fed monsters roaming around grow up each year.

There is only one way you are able to hunt Iowa's whitetails without applying and drawing your own tag. If you're willing or like to hunt with a shotgun or muzzleloader, just email me and I can explain what you need to do.

We don't all like to plan hunt years in advance nor worry about applying for preference points every year, which is why I believe it's important to share with you the quickest and one of the best possible ways to tag your first ever Iowa Whitetail Trophy. Call or email me anytime, day or night, and I will explain to you the process and at the very least, talk a little...or a lot...of hunting :)

Here are the kind of critters walking around in Iowa. This was in mid June this year on one of my personal farms.

Buy a non-resident doe tag and this allows you to party hunt with a resident or non-resident that has an any deer tag. It is cheaper than the any deer tag too. Since most people have set the bar pretty high during gun seasons alot of the buck tags go unfilled so having a couple non-residents hunting with the group using their doe tags is not a big deal. These non-resident doe tags have not been selling out in most counties. I do not think this is a big mystery.

so i pay for a doe tag, hunt with a resident with a buck tag. i shoot buck, he puts his tag on it, i pose for trophy pics with the deer i killed without the proper license?

how is that not poaching?

LAST EDITED ON Oct-06-12 AT 07:11PM (MST)[p]I cashed in my points for a zone 5 archery tag. Waited so long since last trip all 4 of my points were the cheap ones before they raised price to $50! Scouted public land 4 days in February and am good to go!

Will head over there after conclusion of my New Hampshire moose hunt Oct 20-28. May stop back here in Illinois a few days since I have 2 buck tags here, but the public isn't as good.

Its not poaching, check the regs, party hunting is allowed back east in many states.

Let me guess, you drive a 1 ton with oak trees for smoke stacks, 12" lift kit and 40" tires to pull a single place lawn mower trailer?
