Here is a buck my buddy shot off our lease last weekend. We have been watching this deer since last year and finally pulled the trigger on him. He scores 174-1/8, has 23-1/2" main beams and 5 inch bases.

Here are a few trail can pics and field photos.

Really nice buck. I'm heading back to NE OK for the first week of rifle this Saturday. Can't wait. Was your buck rutting? Looks like panhandle country.

Great buck! It makes it more memorable when you can scout a buck and then take him later on doesn't it.

Let me guess, you drive a 1 ton with oak trees for smoke stacks, 12" lift kit and 40" tires to pull a single place lawn mower trailer? See Zeke for prime example....

Yeah he was rutting along with 6 other bucks. All were after the same doe. There was two 8 points in the 130-140" in range, a 140-150" 10 point, a 155"+ 10 point(this one got rolled up by the buck that my buddy killed) and then the 174" buck my buddy shot. He said it was amazing watching all these bucks try after the same doe.
After he shot the buck in the photo above, a monster of a buck came over the hill. He said it was the biggest deer he had ever seen. He said it was a lot bigger than his and guess it would go 185" or bigger.

Here is the second buck we took off the property this year. I passed on this one last season, I have a lot of good video footage of him during rifle season. He was 40 yards from me for a long time. His mass almost got him killed then.

This year he showed up on camera and hadn't done a whole lot in a year. He was close to his peak from what we saw last season. My buddy shot him on opening day of muzzle loader season.

Thanks Zach! We've had a really good year so far. Still two weeks of gun season left to fill two more tags and call it a season. Once I get mine on the ground, it's none stop waterfowl hunting. If you're still wanting some divers, come on down!

My brother took this ten point on Saturday. This buck is another deer we were all wanting to hang our tag on. We scored the deer at 153-4/8.

Sorry he's not smiling. The wind was blowing 30 and the sun was shining in his eyes. Lol

I may just have to take you up on that, maybe over Christmas if it works out. I'm headed to MS after Thanksgiving for a WT hunt, I'd be happy with something half the size you have!

Did you come to CO this year?

I'll be in Northern California during Christmas to see family, friends and do some waterfowl hunting. I'll be back in Okie-Homa after the first of the year. If you decided to come this way, just let me know.

I never did make is to Colorado this season. I put in for a unit that was only a 15% chance of drawing with 6 points. I've been doing a lot of homework and will hopefully be able to burn the points next season. If I don't draw, I'll be heading to Wyoming. Hows the winter so far in CO this year?

Well, If I can help with your GMU choice shoot me an email(I'll PM that to ya).

Winter? Huh, not here yet. It's friggen dry. 65 degrees in mid November? Down right pathetic. I'd say drought. I haven't had to shovel any snow, still riding my motorcycle to work.
