LAST EDITED ON Feb-17-13 AT 05:57PM (MST)[p]yeah i have lots of pictures of him, and to me he looks younger from the ears down than he does from the ears up. my guess is hes 4.5 years, so im thinking he may have another two seasons of growth before he starts shrinking. ive heard that with good nutrition a buck of this age may grow about 15 inches per year? if thats the case and im right about his age i think he may be able to reach the 170 b&c minimum at his peak. as i said im bad at estimating rack scores, and i was thinking he was more like 150. either way, as much as id like to see him two years from now, hes not the kind of buck i would even consider letting walk if im given a shot at him

I assume he has good beam length. hard to tell at front view.

I am guessing his G2 is 8 inches and his G3 is 9ish. If he can add on his G2 and some mass he will be a great buck this coming year. I knew if he was running my area I would be keeping an eye on him

IMO that is a low to mid 130's buck...maybe..maybe close to 140. Unless of course he is 350lbs..then he'd score a bit better.:)

High 140's He will be a shooter soon.

well, the guy on the neighboring piece of property got this guys sheds. i had cameras up all fall and winter watching this buck, kept feed and minerals on the hill all winter hoping to get his sheds, and seems he just went over to the next piece of property and dropped his antlers in the middle of the field. the guy has zero interest in deer or hunting and he just picked em up by random. what a joke

Maybe you should go have a cup of coffee with him. Take along some of your pictures and show them to him. If he has any sense at all he will realize that you have a lot of interest in deer and hunting. Perhaps he will give them to you and even allow you to place some cameras around his place as well. Maybe you guys can/will become friends. Just a suggestion.

Being a 10 point helps of course but his is thin, not that wide, tine length is average. If you are generous on all guesses he makes 142" gross but is likely 138". If you like him shoot him. that deer is not any older than 3.5 years.

so anyway i know this is an old thread, those were my 2012 pics of him. figured id throw up his 2013 pics too just for the hell of it. at first i thought hed kind of come down, but i think that was just kind of an optical illusion due to his acquiring more mass. overall not as much improvement on him as id hoped. his browtines definitely grew quite a bit, and his antlers got heavier. not much more tho. i guess his g2s and g4s got a little longer, but overall not much of a drastic change other than mass and browtines. heres the 2013 pics of him. https://imgur.com/a/1p6zV

couldnt find his sheds this year. he did show up in the middle of my backyard at exactly noon the day after late rifle season. i swear they know! anyway, unless a coug got him or something im thinking hell be back again. not expecting much more this year tho. sure didnt grow all that much last year. still a dandy buck, but once again hes safe from me, dont really want to hunt the back yard. guess hell just live to spread his genes.

LAST EDITED ON May-08-14 AT 09:15AM (MST)[p]hope the picture turns out good enough, but this deer was scored by the eastman guys. it scored 147 1/8, the one eye gaurd is over 8"s it is a 5x6 buck that to me looks allot like the one in the first photo. so my guess would be 140+ class??

LAST EDITED ON Sep-04-14 AT 12:34PM (MST)[p]i shot one 3 years ago that looked almost lie that buck, the only difference is mine was a 5x6. it scored 147 1/8 and i opinion is the buck in that photo would score 140 at the most. 86

wish i new how to post pictures on monster muleys,
so brian one of these days maybe you could give me a crash course. 86

LAST EDITED ON Dec-09-14 AT 01:40AM (MST)[p]okay so this post got a lot of replies. if you look back a few posts youll see a link i put up to the 2013 pics of this buck. now ill post some 2014 pics of him, then a couple pics of his rack up close (im not the one who got him but i know who did so i was able to go check out the rack and take pics) anybody like to revise their score estimates based on the last couple years pics, and the dead pics? ill say the age estimates ive gotten are off. if you look at his 2013 vs 2014 pics youll see he has regressed a bit, especially his g2s have shrunk, but his mass has gone crazy. way heavier than pics indicate, and his score is higher than i would have thought with his weak g2s. lets see some new guesses then ill spill the beans. im looking for gross green score, lets see how good you are.

id like to make an assumption here... 140 NET? im guessing that buck, though very symmetrical, grosses well over 140. very nice buck, net or gross, either way, nobody i know would pass him. not ever. and for the record, nets are for fish. yeah i said it. either way, congrats on a trophy whitetail. better than anything ive hung a tag on. just adds fuel to the fire. every buck im jealous of makes me strive for more. ive let a lot of good bucks walk in the hopes of putting a tag on one like that. hasnt worked out for me yet but i always fill my tag when the buzzer starts ringing. which state did you get that bad boy in? pm me if you want.
