I've never hunted either of these states, but I would like to do a whitetail hunt somewhere and these seem like good options for hunting. Are there pros and cons to each state? I might consider hunting private if I could get on for a reasonable price. I can't afford several thousand, but could probably do up to maybe $1,500. Any advise or other states to look at? I am from Utah.
Thanks,
Dave

Dave,

I think you're flipping a coin
on quality, depending who you hook
up with.

It's all private property in both states.

Both have great reputations for good bucks.

You need to find a landowner.

SD has a great walk in program that will get you on some great private lands, IT IS JUST THAT WALK IN ONLY. No trucks, no bikes, no horses, no quads. 2 feet and a pack.
