Rattled this deer in this morning to 21 yards. Was 9:00 AM and and before getting down decided to use this green plastic contraption one of my friends left here several years ago. Pulled the two pieces apart and started clashing and twisting them together. Couldn't have been more than 10 seconds and this deer came in like a freight train. Hadn't seen a deer all morning. I guess ya just never know. 164&2/8

Here's one just a few seconds before the shot, you can see the ladder of my stand in the tripod of oak trees. If I'd had my camera set to take video, I'd have the whole thing on film. There's a big scrape every year under that horizontal tree

No sign of that big twelve. :-(

Great buck, congrats! very cool to get a picture of him like that just prior to shooting.

Awesome whitetail. I like the picture of him by your stand with that big ol neck.

Did you shoot him with a bow?

congrats to ya

Tore my rotator cuff 3 years ago so I use a crossbow now. Every time I try to draw a bow it feels like my shoulder is going to come unglued, MUCH PAIN.

You know what they say better to be lucky than good - every time I rattle I get every fork horn buck within two miles surrounding my stands.

Nice Buck, love it when they come charging in to rattling.
