You can apply starting today,I have one point hoping to draw a tag this year, anybody else putting in?

I'm thinking about applying. Considering unit 1 or 2. Is there any public land in these units where a guy could do a DIY hunt and be successful?

You might want to go to the fish and game website and check out the number of permits for each unit,it's getting harder to draw a tag. I hunt unit 7 and their are walk in areas that hold deer, but I prefer private land.

I signed up with an outfitter in Ellis, Kansas. I am in for unit 3, 4, 7 and 1. Zero points.

I don't have a clue how the Kansas draw works. It appears all the archery, muzzleloader and rifle are drawing from the same tag pool.

Outfitter said that one of the units was 100% draw but their drawing stats page says all of these units had more first choice applicants than there were tags.

If I don't draw I will have a point for next year, you can draw any of these with one point.

LAST EDITED ON Apr-11-16 AT 09:32AM (MST)[p]Kansas tags at times can be difficult to draw it just depends on how many put in for the tags, lots of areas can be drawn with zero points. I put in for points only this year and should draw next year.

The deadline to enter the Kansas non-resident deer draw is today. Does anyone know when they actually draw?

June ,I had to cancel my app, just found out had lost the ground I was hunting on so I will put back in for point only.

i put my daughter and I in yesterday for unit 1. We have friends there that let us hunt their farm. Archery during peak rut is awesome. Last year was our first time.

Looks like I'll be going round 2 for Kansas whitetails this year. Was hoping to pull a mulie stamp, but more than happy with my whitetail tag. This is my brother's Kansas mulie from last year....

How did you know you drew a tag? I've looked at the Kansas web site and I can't find where the draw results are posted.
