These are 2 whitetails my friends shot here in Iowa. The 8 point had both brow tines broke and the bigger deer was missing quite a bit as well. I really hate it when they have broke points x( x(.

With broken tines, I usually consider letting them walk so they can grow back next year. Yea, right!! My biggest whitetail came from Iowa last year. Thanks to 3 tines broken he was only a 6 pointer! Shoot first, count tines later!

Lovely bucks. The first glance tells you all you need to know - "Shooter or Not". After that, the ground check let's you count points and assess the damages to the tines.
