Just curious how the deer are looking up there this year. Have a 3rd season buck tag and just itching for November to be here

What kind of buck are you looking for?
From what I have seen all summer it will be difficult to find a good buck but you never know until the boots hit the ground.

Good luck in your quest!!!

I'd really like a 180. But probably wouldn't pass a solid 170. Willing to go home empty if I don't find something in that range or smaller but unique such as - buck with so character like cheaters or droppers.
My buddy hunted it a couple years ago and seen quite a few
Bucks in that range so i think it's doable.

I live in 62. The deer are looking good, and I've seen some nice bucks like you're looking for. Great dates this year. Stay off the trigger, spend the entire week, and good chance of killing a good buck.

Good luck!!

Thanks! I will be there the whole hunt and I don't have an itchy trigger finger so I can hold out.
Do you have a tag this year for 62?

I don't. I'll be chasing Deer in Idaho this year.

Good luck on your hunt. Post up a pic if you whack one

First Rifle hunt was rough, due to the Conditions. I'm expecting things to get much better. Starting to see bigger bucks poke their heads back out, here and there. They went completely underground for a while.

The Deer are coming down out of the high country like crazy the last couple of weeks. Lots of deer coming out of the woodwork into the agriculture every day now. By the time your hunt starts, some of the mature bucks will start cruising the low country for Does. Lots of this country bordered by BLM..... That's where I would be...

Good luck

How did your hunt go?! I started seeing some really solid rut activity the last 4 evenings. A 180+, 4 point and a GIANT 3 showed up at my house courting does, Thursday and Friday evening.

Didn't go. Long story short my father I law who I was gonna hunt with had his house burn down (complete loss) the week before the hunt. I had some gear in his garage and lost everything. With No way to go cause my truck had a catastrophic break down and short on gear I ate the tag.
