Sportsmen YES on 71!!!!

I am surprised that more sportsmen and groups are not totally supporting amendment 71. It has the HSUS, Sierra Club etc. Up in arms.

The basic idea is to make our state constitution harder to amend. This would be a huge step in preventing such groups from passing the bans that limited trapping etc. It would help protect hound hunting etc.

We should all support this amendment in order to provide a better layer of protection.

It was a push by locals and companies who are trying to avoid a simple majority vote from permanently changing our constitution.

It came up this year in response to the ballot initiatives to ban fracking, but it sure has the HSUS and Sierra Club on edge as they realize that this would prevent them from passing many of their anti hunting goals.

I'm more concerned about Tipton's goal to sell off fed. lands in CO. Schwartz is not in my district, but I supported her "keep federal lands public" campaign.

Then this amendment would also help that. The sell of public lands is a ploy and will not make it far. It is only a push by handful in the entire system.

Take it from this Californian, if your are pissing off HSUS and the like, it must be good for sportsmen. They will take your rights, one method at a time.
