OHV NR permit

I just looked up that I will need to purchase an OHV permit for my NR quad. It says if I do it online it could take up to 14 days. Does anyone know if I can purchase one from a store in Rifle? If not Rifle, what about Meeker? Rifle is preferred as I'll be driving through there and not Meeker. Thanks.

You should be able to get it at any license vendor. Walmart, City market, or timberline sporting goods. Also Cabelas in Grand Junction on your way in.

I've gotten them online previously and you can print out the receipt that shows you purchased one. The sticker will come later but the temporary one is adequate to just keep on the ATV I believe.

But now I will only be using One if your in the SLC area I have a spear Permit.

Permits are specific to machine and rider, using someone else's would attract (-) attention from LE if you get checked.

When you buy your tag tell them you need an OHV permit. They asked me what year and make it was that was it. Its not a big deal. Don't need registration and don't use someone else's unless its the same year, make and model and you have the same name......

There is an office near the resevoir at Rifle Gap State Park. They will sell you a permit there. It took me a few minutes last year.

They sell them anywhere you can buy tags. I bought mine at the City Market in Fruita.
