Late Cow Hunt Unit 2, 201

I'm looking for some information about the late hunt in unit 2 and 201. My 14 year old son had a 3rd season 201 cow tag and was unsuccessful. We are planning to go back during the Christmas break to give it another try. We have been to unit 201 several times during the 3rd season, but never during the late December hunt. I am hoping that someone can give us some hints on where to look in unit 2 or 201 during this late season. We have never ventured in to unit 2, so we aren't familiar with that unit at all. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I personally would go to 201 this late in the year. Alot of elk in 2 winter in the monument. Always a handful around vermillom creek and the bears ears in December. I would focus limestone ridge also.

Thanks to all who replied to my message and who PM'ed me. I appreciated all the help. We spent all our time in Unit 2 near Douglas Mountain and saw plenty of elk. Unfortunately, my boy was not able to seal the deal. He missed twice on broadside shots. Part of his problem is that he just gets way too excited. Buck fever big time. His hands shake, his voice gets crackly... it's pretty funny. We had a great time and will be back at it next year.
