I can only find the reports for 2014 and older for the amount of points needed to draw certain units. Can anyone post a link to the 2015 or 2016 report? I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks DW...I was looking for the "easy reading" report but that one worked...Thanks!

I am looking for a unit in the southwest part of the state that has ample public land that hold deer that my son and I can draw with 2-3 points. I want to learn an area that I can go back every couple years and be able to see deer with the chance of harvesting a decent deer. If anyone has suggestions, feel free to pm me. :) Thanks!

I hunted 22 last year but don't want to wait 5-6 years to draw a 2nd season tag. I'm 45 and I am running out of years to hunt.

The best site I've found that makes it easy to see the stats is toprut.com. I love how they've set it up. Very easy to find that kind of info pretty fast and if you then want the very detailed reports you can use the CPW site.

I second that. Their site has come a long way recently. They have a lot of info that is readily available w/o digging thru tons of reports otherwise.

Hey Wiz, Check out units 70 or 711 easy draw and decent success. Don't know the quality of bucks though. Have you ever tried X1 or C1 in north Calif? I know where some big bucks are up there. I lived there for 24 years.

Hope your doing well

Hey Milo- Good to hear from you. I have not hunted any other zones except A, D13 and x12 in Cali. I haven't hunted anywhere but locally for over 15 years. I have max points for deer and keep putting in for "premium" hunts because I always go out of state anyway. :) I will be looking to burn my points soon though and I figured I'd shoot for a zone up near Tahoe. I like hunting that type of country...its really pretty up there. I will look into X1...especially if you know where all the big ones live. wink, wink.

Looking into 70 for 2018...might be more like 2019 though if it takes 3 points.

I hope all is well with you. Where will you be putting in this year? Are you a shoe in for any good tags anywhere? Take care....

Steve
