A friend of mine says he knows someone that drew unit 21 3rd season with 6 NR points last season. I checked the point stats. it took 8 NR points minimum to draw. Anyone know someone or how many NR points it took to draw 3rd season last year in Unit 21. I have 6 NR points and thinking i will put in for Unit 22 2nd season.

Sorry it was Unit 21 2nd season not 3rd season. I checked 2015 stats it took 6 NR points that year he must have his years mixed up.

Yep, took 8 nr points 2nd season unit 21 last year. 2015 it took 8 nr points

There is some interest conflict here... Mostly a typo I beleive... But here is the break down

unit 21 2nd season took 8 points and had a 50% chance with 8 point.

Unit 21 3rd season took 19 points and had a 66% success rate with 19 points

Unit 22 2nd season took 4 points with a 67% Success rate with 4

Unit 22 3rd season took 8 points with a 35% draw with 8

Good luck if you go 22 look me up I have just a little experience in the unit.

Yep elks96 will do, hunted 22 a lot mostly Pieance before the gas companies moved in, havn't hunted that unit in 7 years now and i understand a lot of 22 is private so im not sure where i will be huntin if i draw but going to try for 22 first choice.

I hunted 3rd rifle last year as a resident with 13 points. While I did see many bucks, I saw very few quality bucks and ended the season without pulling the trigger. Weather was part of the problem, it was way too hot. I would say quality is a problem in that unit as well. Knowing what I know now, I wouldn't burn that many points for 3rd season. 2nd season 21 might be worth it for half the points.
Good luck!

Holy smoke bondo 13 points and nothing, that would be hard to take.
i can only imagine what was going through your mind the final hours of your hunt. With 6 NR points im kinda stuck in no mans land. I would like to build up points but my knees and feet and age just won't let me hunt like i have for years. I can see myself as one of those road hunters in the near future, but i will still travel to your beautifull state to do some fishing and glass the country, just being out there taking it all in is a thrill and maybe i will get lucky and pop one not to far from truck.
