We are respected local Colorado residents.
Not looking for giant trophys, just trying to get a couple of bucks.

Craig Chamber of Commerce might be good resource. They have proven very helpful to many hunters in the past.

Thanks I'll check the chamber again.
I did that a few years ago without much success.
Dow used to put out a landowner list too, but I don't believe that they are doing that anymore either.

I live in rural Colorado and have a difficult time just randomly rolling into someone's place to ask about hunting....

The other problem you may run into is alot of that private ground is leased up by outfitters. I wish ya luck.

I did the same a few years ago, got hooked up, but man it wasn't easy as I had hoped for!

If you are willing to hunt public, there is that big area of BLM in northern unit 3 just south and SW of Baggs, Wy. It is vast sagebrush country and at least before the 15/16 winter, there were lots of antelope. Haven't been up there for a few years, but we've seen big herds in that area.

What sort of tags?

Generally speaking, tis easy to get on private land w/a doe tag and they want you to shoot them. Now, that said, you may have to wait until their paying (buck) clients are off the property before you can go out on the property.
