Left over

Nothing complicated about it. Later this month a list will be posted on the DOW website. If you see something you want you should be in line starting Aug 1st at 9am. First come, first served. Keep in mind everybody will be doing the same thing all over Colorado. You can go anywhere to do it that sells hunting/fishing licenses.

And then at random intervals they will post returned tags to reissue to those that spot em first until a short time before season. So check the site 20 times a day from August till october!

DO NOT CALL IN!!!! Last year, my work sent me away and I had to try and call in.... I had 5 tags to try for, 3 phones speed dialing and did practice calls.... 10 minutes prior the lines got busy and I spent 2 hours dialing with no success!!!

Go in person to DOW Office and camp!!!

Check with DOW office on their leftover tag procedures ahead of time...
Its not supposed to be different from 1 to the next, but just to be safe.... do your research
Know the procedure
And know 2 or 3 tags

I am assuming they will post a list of leftovers prior to the August 1st opening? That will be the only day this year that people will camp out and buy them in person. After that, as stated, you will see them pop up on the list at random intervals and you can buy them online after the first day.

So if you see something you want before August 1st, then you can camp out and hope for the best. After that it may very well be insiders that get most of the primo tags.
