33 4th returned tag

My 76 year old father wanted to draw a 4th season tag this year and had the points so he picked unit 33. Unfortunately, last Sunday he fell in the backyard and now has two spiral fractures in his leg and will require surgery next week when the swelling goes down.

So, I will begin the process of turning back his tag because of his long recovery. Someone is going to get to hunt 4th season, who is it going to be.

Damn, hate hearing that. Since it's a medical reason I hope he can still keep his points and get a refund. Hopefully next year someone on here can help him get on a good buck in 33 when he draws again.

Not sure what that tag took for points to draw but if he has a bunch I may be able to help him out next year with a relatively low mobility, lower elevation eastern plains hunt. Let me know and if I can help I will.

Glad to see he's still hunting at 76.

So sorry to hear that, I know how much you have enjoyed taking him with you to CO over the years on Elk hunts. Sure hope he makes a full recovery and can cash in his points on a great hunt!
