Hey guys, first time on the site and I'm sure everyone hates these threads. But have 3 non-resident deer points and want to draw an area that I can go every 2-3 years and really learn an area. Just uncertain where to focus. Any info would be greatly appreciated. 3rd rifle preferably. Thanks!

One thing I would think about if you want to go every 2-3 years, is that now since you don't have to front the fees for tags in Colorado there will probably be a lot more creep in the low point units then there has been in the past. So if you want to hunt the same unit in a couple years that you are hunting this year I would look at units in the 1 point range.

Good luck

Send me a PM and I can offer my .02. What kind of country do you want to hunt? Quality bucks or quantity? Lots of factors.

There's a slim chance this factors in, but for the most part, I would argue that anyone playing the points game is playing regardless. I don't think the GFW holding on to $350 for 5 months is deterring anyone from putting in for tags. It is definitely easier and more efficient to apply for points/tags this year, but I don't think it's inviting more people to apply for tags, unless I am missing the point you were trying to make.
