66 Deer 2nd season

Hey folks,

I am considering buying a 66 2nd season deer voucher for my wife. She will likely shoot the first mature deer we see, that being said I still want to be in an area where we have the opportunity for big bucks.

I would like to be able to drive my pickup and a small camper to our base camp location and have good day hike hunting from there. Could I get high enough with a truck and camper in this unit to get decent access to top third of the mountains?

What are some of your thoughts on this plan? What could I do different? Anyone have any experience during this season?

Feel free to PM me.

Thanks fellas, much appreciated.

Good roads, you may only see the top 1/3 of the mountain and nothing to shoot. Another issue, unless you've already got it pinpointed, is acquiring that voucher.
