I'm sure this the million dollar question, but what are some good units that are really glassable, good deer numbers and where u can see a few 170+ bucks ?

So you want their easiest units to find and kill 170+ bucks? May have better luck asking to take their wives to dinner. I wouldn't be telling if I were them.

The easiest to draw. Anyway.

I'm sure anywhere in CO you can kill 170? deer. My dad, Brother, and I are hoping to draw in the next couple of years
We will have 3-4 points. Just lookin for some units that are glassable and a good hunt. I'm not asking for anyone?s spots. No biggie don't have to tell.

You might have better luck getting info on units if you ask about the type of terrain and vegetation. The season you want to hunt. Elevation you plan to hunt at. If you are going to be road hunting, hiking, backpacking. The amount of points you guys have. Stuff like that.

Then when you get it narrowed down to a couple units, I start searching for those specific units and ask the guys questions about how their hunt went. If it was crowded, lots of animals, how mature, etc.

Anyway good luck with your hunt

Anybody can pull the trigger. Finding the game is the hard part and is part of being a hunter. Why ask for someone else to do your hunt?

Being a NR has nothing to do with it either. I came to Colorado as a NR for 4 decades before moving here. I never asked anybody where to hunt. I shot plenty of game by putting in the hard work that any hunter should do.

The only thing I find more annoying than someone asking where to hunt is somebody telling them where to hunt. The internet has ruined hunting.

Good post Muley. Pre scouting and figuring everything out on your own is what makes hunting fun. Don?t understand the big push for guides. Working hard and scouting is what makes hunting fun. It's not about size of antlers or numbers of deer. It is about the exercise of skill and the places it brings you to. If these are not your objectives, you don't understand hunting. These days a lot of people don't want to hunt, they just want a grip and grin photo to put on FB for everyone to see.

That's great If that is your perspective on hunting. Not everyone shares the same perspective . I personally will not shoot small young deer ,Ive spent years exercising skill, just to put them to the test and try and harvest older ,more mature, smarter quarry. If someone is happy taking a fork horn then that's great, it's their tag,and their choice and nothing wrong with that. Just the same if someone from a different state is building points in another to try and kill a trophy animal. For the record I don't have fb .

I agree with both sides. I dont mind helping someone out, especially if I will never be able to hunt it again. But, I wont just go out and tell everyone to hunt unit 44 4th season either.

There is no need to be a dink on either side.
