When does Colorado put out the rough draft or proposed permit numbers for 2018?

Thanks for posting the Link. I have only looked at the Deer portion so far, The CPOW thinks the deer population has increased in certain areas and have increase available tags 3% statewide. Looks like they are really impressed with the deer numbers in unit 66 as they have increased 2nd-4th season buck tags from 95 to 185, good news for those hoping to draw that unit.

Well, they added 50 more bear tags. Took away some deer tags and elk stayed the same.About the way it's been going lately.

Someone who wanted to hunt for just deer would be struggling if they wanted to stay close to home.

Actually deer tags are going up (from 92,200 to 94,900) and elk tags are going down (from 133,200 to 127,600)

Yes, overall, but just the opposite in my area. In my old age i'd like to hunt more deer because they're easier to get the meat out. They aren't making that plan easier.

Looks muzzy cow tag numbers in area we applied for have been cut 15-20%. Don?t know how it will affect us.

Wow doubled the number of tags in 66!?

They doubled the tags in 66, but that will put them back to the 2016 numbers. They bumped most of Gunnison units back up. 54, 55, and 551 still have a long way to go to get back to 2016 level.
