If you can get access you'll be fine as that's the hard part of the hunt. Glass the south and east side of Silver from the road early in the morning and late at night about a week before the hunt starts to see what the rams are doing and don't set up camp until the night before the opener. Pack water throughout the summer up to your chosen campsite, but DO NOT try to look for the sheep while on the mountain in the summer or you run the risk of pushing them off. Try to hook up with the other tag holder so it's not combat hunting as the mountain is tiny comparably speaking. We did it with the other tag holder and filled both tags opening morning on great mid 170 rams out of the same band. Pray that this doesn't shape up to be a severe drought year otherwise you'll REALLY struggle to find a living creature on the public land. Take more pictures than what you think, have a great time, and go to the Dog Bar in Cuchara at least once.
